El Cerrito's Annual National Night Out Event

National Night Out 2017 logoOn Tuesday, August 1, 2017, the residents of El Cerrito will be participating in the annual National Night Out (NNO) event for the 21st year in a row. National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the El Cerrito Police Department, will involve over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 36 million people are expected to participate in “America’s Night Out Against Crime”.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

To register as a block party host, submit an online application by July 25.
