Red Flag Warning

Firefighters in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties will raise red flags at fire stations to warn residents of extreme fire weather. These Red Flags, created by the Diablo Firesafe Council, are part of the effort to make homes and communities safer from wildland fire.

The National Weather Service issues extreme fire weather warnings.

To receive an email or text message from the El Cerrito Fire Department when red flag warnings are issued for the El Cerrito-Kensington area, go to /list.aspx and sign up for the "Red Flag Warning" Calendar.
