Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Celebration in El Cerrito

The City of El Cerrito, St. Peter Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the El Cerrito Branch NAACP, and the West Contra Costa County Unified School District are proud to sponsor the 30th Annual El Cerrito Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration.

Join us for this historic 30th year celebration as our beloved community comes together to honor our collective values of compassionate humanity and social equity. The events are free and all ages are welcome. This year's theme is: "Moving the Wisdom of Our Past Forward Towards Justice."

This year's celebration will be a TWO DAY EVENT beginning with a FREE documentary screening of "Cracking the Codes" and a community conversation on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

On January 21, 2019, the City will celebrate the 30th Annual MLK Celebration with a parade and rally beginning at El Cerrito City Hall.

Individuals and groups are welcome to help make parade signs, march in the parade, and attend the rally. Join your friends and neighbors at the longest running MLK Celebration in the Bay Area!
