The Police Department will host a swearing in and award ceremony on March 1 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (City Hall).   The event honors newly hired members of the El Cerrito Police Department and the following award winners:

Aaron Leone - Officer of the Year
Bill Lewis - Professional Staff of the Year
Garrett Krebs - Volunteer of the Year
Todd Nowajewski - Reserve Officer of the Year
Opal Franklin - Explorer of the Year
Stephen Bonini - Distinguished Service Award
Jeffrey Albrandt - Unit Citation Award
