El Cerrito Police Officers conducted targeted enforcement relating to driving under the influence over Memorial Day Weekend. Officers undertook directed patrol efforts in El Cerrito and participated in a multijurisdictional DUI checkpoint in the City of Richmond. The patrol shifts and DUI checkpoint were funded by a countywide "Avoid the 25" grant. El Cerrito Officers arrested 6 suspected drunk drivers during the holiday weekend.
