As part of the 2016 Corporate Caring Volunteer Week, close to 20 Chevron employees will be volunteering in El Cerrito to help remove litter and invasive weeds along the Ohlone Greenway. The event will take place on September 21 from 9 a.m. to noon, with the initial meeting place being at the rain garden on the Greenway at Fairmount Avenue. Each year, Corporate Caring Volunteer Week connects hundreds of volunteers from Bay Area businesses to projects organized by communities and local nonprofit organizations. This year the Contra Costa Crisis Center was the main organizer for Corporate Caring Volunteer Week.
