The West Contra Costa Integrated Waste Management Authority Board (WCCIWMA, also known as RecycleMore) is in the process of updating the current Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement (JEPA). At its February 2016 meeting, the WCCIWMA Board approved a timeline for updating the JEPA and has provided direction to WCCIWMA staff and legal counsel on numerous aspects to be considered in the updated JEPA. WCCIWMA staff anticipates releasing a draft JEPA for Board review in time for their November 10, 2016 Board meeting, with the goal of presenting a final draft for consideration by member agencies in January or early February 2017. The “Draft Table of Contents for the RecycleMore JEPA Revised Terms,” outlining in the broadest terms activities to be addressed by the JEPA, was distributed to the City Council. City staff has been assisting Mayor Lyman, El Cerrito’s assigned Board Member, in following the JEPA update process.
