The interest list for the Creekside Walk apartments at the El Cerrito Plaza, now named Metro 510, has been closed and the affordable housing selection process will begin before the end of March 2017.

Within the 128 apartment units planned for Metro 510, 19 of them will be below market rate (6 low-income and 13 moderate-income). The 19 units are split between two buildings. The north building for Metro 510 is set to be complete by the end of March or April and the south building will be completed in early summer 2017.

The renting agent, FPI Management, will begin the affordable housing selection process in the next couple of weeks. The selection process will be a lottery system where the renting agent, contacts selected names from the interest list for the 19 below market rate apartments. Once selected, the potential tenant will have 72 hours to respond and can then start the application process online or in person at the apartment office. There are 900 names currently on the interest list for the 19 below market rate units. Please note the City of El Cerrito does not have a role in selecting for below market rate units.
