Program Excellence Award
The City is thrilled to announce that it was notified this week that we have been awarded the Program Excellence Award in Community Sustainability (population 10,000-49,999) from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) for the San Pablo Avenue Streetscape Project.

ICMA's Annual Awards program honors creative contributions to professional local government management and increases public awareness of the value of professional management to the quality of life in our communities. An independent Awards Evaluation Panel of 17 U.S. and international ICMA members selects each years' award recipients. ICMA Program Excellence Awards are presented to local governments and their chief administrators in recognition of their innovative and successful programs. The Community Sustainability Awards category recognizes the innovative local government programs or processes that demonstrate innovation, excellence, and success in balancing that community's social, economic, environmental, and cultural needs.

This prestigious award will be presented to Scott Hanin, City Manager, along with Karen Pinkos, Assistant City Manager and Melanie Mintz, Environmental Services Manager, at the ICMA Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ on October 10, 2012.
