In conjunction with the El Cerrito Open Space Campaign, the Environmental Quality Committee (EQC) will be showing Rebels with A Cause on Saturday, December 7, starting at 10:30 AM at the Rialto Cinemas Cerrito.

The Campaign and EQC are hosting the event as a fundraiser event to help the City purchase the Madera Property, an 8-acre parcel of open space that will connect the northern and southern sections of the Hillside Natural Area. An award winning documentary narrated by Frances McDormand, Rebels with A Cause is filmmakers Nancy Kelly and Kenji Yamamoto's “retelling of the story of the schemers and dreamers who fought to keep developers from taking over the breathtaking landscape of Point Reyes National Seashore and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.”
