Metro 510 (formerly known as Creekside Apartments) is the new 128-unit apartment community scheduled to open adjacent to the Ohlone Greenway at the southeast corner of the El Cerrito Plaza shopping center. The project is now actively leasing both affordable (below market rate) and market rate 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units.

The City of El Cerrito Community Development Department is currently working with Strategic Economics, Inc. to develop an Affordable Housing Strategy. As part of the effort, two community workshops have been scheduled for residents and members of the public to learn more about affordable housing from industry experts, provide input and hear draft recommended affordable housing policies for El Cerrito.

The first workshop, Intro to Affordable Housing, will be held on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 from 10 am - 12 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The second workshop, Affordable Housing Policy Recommendations, will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017 from 7 pm - 8:30 pm in City Hall Council Chambers.

The interest list for the Creekside Walk apartments at the El Cerrito Plaza, now named Metro 510, has been closed and the affordable housing selection process will begin before the end of March 2017.
