The Police Department (ECPD) partnered with the Fire Department, City Hall, Recreation Department and the Crime Prevention Committee to coordinate and attend a night of great block parties. Residents hosted 34 National Night Out Parties. El Cerrito Officers talked with residents about crime prevention strategies and also described new programs at the police department including online reporting and our analytics engine, Raids Online.

The Fire Department has been very busy since early June providing mutual aid throughout the state. and has hired firefighters Adam Birdsell and Mason Campbell.
