EBMUD Pipeline Replacement

The Engineering Division is in the process of issuing Encroachment Permits for the replacement of EBMUD pipelines (including pavement, sidewalk and curb & gutter repair) on several local residential streets in El Cerrito. Construction on Tulare Avenue from Edwards Avenue to Jordan Avenue is scheduled to begin in mid-September.

PG&E Pipeline Pathways

PG&E has been implementing a program known as the Pipeline Pathways to remove incompatible structures and vegetation above and adjacent to its natural gas transmission lines. Over the past few months, many cities in Contra Costa County have expressed their concerns about the impact of PG&E’s proposed large-scale tree removal. As a result, PG&E has put a hold on any tree removal related to this program until an agreement can be reached with each city.
