The City of El Cerrito has teamed up with the City of Richmond and other Bay Area cities to provide a solar and electric vehicle (EV) group-buying program. The program, SunShares, makes it easier and more affordable for Bay Area residents to go solar or to purchase an electric vehicle by vetting contractors, offering discounts and free workshops, and helping renters learn more about their clean energy options. Plus, participants can still take advantage of the 30% Federal Tax Credit incentivizing clean energy upgrades.
