1. Who maintains the sidewalk?

The Maintenance Division (at 510-215-4369) maintains public sidewalks and performs repairs where city trees have caused damage. Maintenance Department.

2. My tree needs to be trimmed. I don't think it's been trimmed for several years.

City trees are pruned by the City on a rotational basis; if you think a City tree needs attention, please contact the Public Works Maintenance Division to make a request: maintenance@ci.el-cerrito.ca.us or (510) 215- 4369.

3. I like the plants that are growing around the new City Hall. Can you tell me the name of the one that is blonde on top.

That plant's common name is Mexican Feathergrass. But we have found it to be quite invasive.
