Business Self-Inspection Program
Kensington Fire Protection District
The Kensington Fire Protection District has implemented an annual self-inspection program to increase participation in our city-wide fire prevention efforts. We encourage low hazard business occupancies to be inspected by their owners/managers rather than by the Fire Department. By allowing you to identify and eliminate common mercantile fire hazards, we hope to encourage fire-safe work environments.
The self-inspection form and instructions are provided on this web site. The Fire Department will spot check about 5% of self-inspection occupancies to assure fire safety compliance. If you have any questions please call the Fire Department at 215-4450.
Instructions
- The business owner or manager of the premises should conduct the inspection .
- Print the Self Inspection Worksheet and walk through the business with the worksheet in hand and answer each question.
- When inspection is complete and all corrections made, complete the Business Information Form. Do not submit the form without a completed worksheet.
- You are allowed 30 days to conduct the inspection and complete the form.
Thank you for doing your part to make the Kensington Community Fire Safe.
