Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Celebration in El Cerrito

The City of El Cerrito, St. Peter Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the El Cerrito Branch NAACP, and the West Contra Costa County Unified School District are proud to sponsor the 26th annual El Cerrito Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

The program will honor Maya Angelou and the theme this year is: "“Still I Rise - Hands Up for Justice”

PARADE:
Everyone is invited to gather at  the D.M.V. Parking Lot (6400 Manila Ave in El Cerrito).

The parade will start at 9:00am and will be led by the ECHS Marching Band. The parade will proceed along San Pablo Avenue, up Moeser Lane to Ashbury Avenue and arrive at El Cerrito High School.

RALLY & PROGRAM: 
Everyone is invited to the rally at the El Cerrito High School Performing Arts Center (540 Ashbury Ave., El Cerrito)
The celebration includes entertainment, music, dance, singing and family fun. Venue is wheelchair accessible. Program is approximately one hour.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 25th Silver Anniversary Celebration on January 20, 2014 event honoring Dr. King. The program was dedicated to Nelson Mandela.
