Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Celebration in El Cerrito
The 25th Silver Anniversary of the El Cerrito Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration was held on Monday, January 20, 2014.

The City of El Cerrito, St. Peter Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the El Cerrito Branch NAACP, and the West Contra Costa County Unified School District are proud to sponsor this annual event.

This year’s program was dedicated to Nelson Mandela.  The keynote speaker was Michael E. Parker, CEO and Founder of Value-Centered Solutions, Inc. The parade and rally also included:
  • Bay Area Line Dancers
  • Oakland Black Cowboy Association
  • Students from Harding Elementary School & Madera Elementary School
  • El Cerrito High School Jazz Band
  • Portola Middle School Jazz Band
  • El Cerrito High School Dance Production
  • Girl Scouts and Boy Scout of America

  • Japanese American Citizen League
  • East Bay Masonic Lodge
