Friends of Five Creeks

For California's Invasive Species Action Week, help keep El Cerrito's 100-acre natural area full of diverse habitats and safe from fire! Join Friends of Five Creeks to take a walk with beautiful views to pull out invasive, fire-prone French broom. Wear long pants, long sleeves, socks, and closed-toed shoes with good traction. Gloves, tools, water, and snacks supplied, Meet at 10 AM at the main entrance on Schmidt Lane, east of Navellier and west of the El Cerrito Recycling Center (opposite 7500 Schmidt Lane). Questions? Vegetable Gardening in El Cerrito

4th Saturdays, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
 
The El Cerrito Community Garden Network and El Cerrito Library are teaming up to provide a series of monthly introductory vegetable gardening workshops running April through November, no workshop in August.  The workshop format will be a 30-minute presentation at the Library and then a hands-on project (30-60 minutes) at the nearby Community Demonstration Garden in Fairmont Park.
