El Cerrito now has more energy choices. On January 6, 2015 the City joined Marin Clean Energy (MCE) in order to provide electricity customers with competitively priced clean electricity.  All electricity account holders in El Cerrito will be automatically enrolled in MCE, unless they choose to opt-out and stay with PG&E. The City will be hosting several informational meetings explaining these new electricity choices, rate comparisons, and the clean energy programs available through MCE. Spanish and Chinese translators available. Please request a translator by calling 510-205-4305 at least 24 hours in advance.

MCE provides electricity to customers in Marin County, Napa County, and the cities of Richmond, San Pablo and Benicia.  Visit MCE website for additional information about El Cerrito energy choices.
