Participants at the event enjoy a Pancake breakfast, a visit from Santa, and a special performance by Living Dream Arts. Tickets may be purchased at the El Cerrito Community Center or online. For more information please email us.

Crab Feed

The City of El Cerrito Recreation Department started hosting a fabulously fun and delicious Crab Feed in 2017. Those in attendance enjoy generous servings of fresh crab, along with salad, garlic bread, pasta, and dessert. There is also a no host bar serving soda, beer, and wine, as well as a raffle featuring great prizes. Advance ticket purchase is required, so be sure to get your tickets early at the El Cerrito Community Center (tickets go on sale in November). The cost is $50 per ticket. Come out and enjoy a fun night of community and great food! For more information call (510) 559-7000 or email us.

The Crab Feed raises money for the David Hunter Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Open House Senior Center. The David Hunter Memorial Fund offers scholarships for our recreational youth programs. Scholarships assist families in need of providing safe, high quality programs for children such as afterschool enrichment classes, swim lessons, sports programs and more. The Open House Senior Center Fund helps to maintain many of the activities and services that El Cerrito’s senior programs have been noted for over the years.

The success of this event is due to the generosity and support of local businesses, service organizations and private citizens. Without their support, many programs, which benefit seniors and children in El Cerrito, would not be possible. If you are interested in supporting this event or donating a raffle prize, please contact us!
