El Cerrito Swim Center
El Cerrito Swim Center will be closed on Sunday 1/1/23 in observance of New Years.
The office floors will be deep cleaned Monday 1/2/23 in the evening, therefore we will not be open for evening Fitness Swim. The Swim Center will be open from 6am-4:30pm for normal hours, then remain closed 7pm-8:15pm.
The Recycling Center and Office will be closed Monday, January 2nd, 2023. The Center will re-open at 8:30am on Tuesday, January 3rd. El Cerrito curbside recycling, green waste, and garbage will be picked up one day later than usual from 12/26/22 through 1/7/23.
Due to the upcoming major storm, high wind and flood warning, we are cancelling all programming for today, Wednesday 1/4/23. We will remain open for Fitness Swim through 4:30pm, and then close the facility. There will be no Gators Practice or evening Fitness Swim tonight.

Please join City staff and other volunteers at Baxter Creek Gateway Park in this jewel on the Ohlone Greenway. The activities will include litter removal, invasive plant removal and native plant care. All ages are welcome (under 18 with guardian). All participants must complete a Volunteer Registration Form before working. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. You may also want to bring a water bottle to use while you are working. The City will provide tools, bags, gloves, and sanitizer. There are no bathrooms at the park. We will meet at 10am at Conlon Ave and the Ohlone Greenway. RSVP by email or phone is appreciated.

Please note this class is shallow water only. There are only spots for about 10-15 participants. There will be no other Independent Exercise available on Wednesday 1/18.
Join Bonnie, a licensed Zumba instructor, for AQUA ZUMBA, a high intensity but low-impact water exercise course designed to improve muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular fitness. Non-swimming exercises will involve Latin-based dance steps and variations using Aqua Zumba dance vocabulary and music.
Available at Upper Cerrito Vista Park, adjacent to the tennis courts, across from the tennis court's parking lot, entrance off of Avis, across from Prospect Sierra School.
Join El Cerrito’s Green Teams and El Cerrito Trail Trekkers to remove invasive French broom from the Hillside Natural Area. The ground is soft so it is easy to pull plants out. No experience necessary!

Join El Cerrito’s Green Teams as we remove detritus from the creek and nearby areas.
All ages welcome (under 18 with guardian). Wear a hat and bring water, and hip waders or boots if you have them. Green Teams supply tools, gloves, bags, and light snacks. Meet at Creekside Park, 3499 Santa Clara Ave., El Cerrito. Rsvp requested.
